On September 30, 2017 three Bar Poker Open leagues from Texas met up at Mel’s Lonestar Lanes in Georgetown Texas for the first ever Texas State Bar Poker Championship.
One-hundred-forty-two players had qualified from the following leagues:
- Kontenders Poker Austin
- Texas Poker Tour Killeen
- Koala T San Antonio
Players from the three leagues battled throughout the day……

The first place finisher, Kontender Hannah Trimarco, won a travel package to Vegas and seats to both of the next two BPO Championships.
Another Kontender, George Lucero, also won a BPO seat, to his choice of either of the next two BPO Championships.
