Gene Hattox, died December 7, 2020
I first met Gene playing poker at the Spirit Grille in Irving, TX. When I decided to join KOntenders and start the DFW Region Gene was the first to say “when do we start and how can I help?” He was a tremendous help in promoting our new league, and was a regular winner at the tables. I would sum up Gene as a fighter. He was a fighting Texas Aggie, a fighter at the poker table, and a fighter up to the end of his life. He played many an online game from his hospital bed. The only time Gene would miss an opportunity to play poker was when he could attend one of his grandkid’s sporting events. Gene will be truly missed.
