Scott Sovocool, Died February 26, 2021

Scott Richard Sovocool, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021, in Plano, TX.  Scott is survived by his fiancé Carole Liberte, of Carrollton, TX, and lots of family.  He was born on February 1, 1947 in Cortland, NY.  He graduated from Regis University in Denver, CO with a degree in Biomedical Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. In 1964 he joined the United States Army where he served honorably and reached the rank of Chief Warrant Officer before retiring.  He later worked for several hospitals as a biomedical administrator until retiring in 2019.  Scott was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the Fraternal Order of The Freemasons and the Veterans of Foreign Wars for the majority of his life.  He enjoyed poker, fishing, and hunting. 

“The first time I met Scott was at Vito’s in Irving at one of our live DFW KOntender’s poker games.  Carole told me that her boyfriend was going to come and play with us.  When he walked in we saw a big, friendly, unforgettable man.  And he proved to be quite a poker player who became a regular with us.”

Carole says his family and friends will always remember him as a quiet, private, dedicated, and wonderful man.
