On August 6, 2016, the Kontenders family came together to raise over $1700 for Keith Davis’ niece, who is fighting with brain cancer.
Aversboro Sports Bar was the location for this event, which was expertly run by Jennifer and Craig Pounds, with assistance from several other Kontenders.

Richard Williams is Keith’s uncle, who came all the way from Elizabeth City, NC to play and support the cause!
Keith says:
“I have played with this league with Tom for two years or more and absolutely love playing at all the different sports bars and restaurants that they hosted games at and not to mention the awesome support for the Cancer Charity Event for my Niece coming up on August 6 at Aversboro Restaurant Tom has really went out his way with his support as he always does when it come to Charity Events for the kids and Soldiers! I can never say thank you enough and Thank you to him again and to all of the Knotender poker player and especially TDs who represent.”
