Kontenders Poker had a tremendous showing at the Bar Poker Open National Championship Series in Las Vegas, with two players from our league reaching the Final Table of the Main Event.
Out of a highly competitive field of 1,032 players, both Gorav “G” Sangal and Frank Johnson battled their way to the final table, representing Kontenders Poker with skill, focus, and determination on one of the biggest stages in bar poker.
Gorav “G” Sangal Finishes 2nd and Wins $65,000
A huge congratulations goes to Gorav “G” Sangal from our RDU region, who earned an outstanding 2nd place finish in the Bar Poker Open Main Event and took home $65,000 in winnings.
G’s run through the field was nothing short of remarkable. His consistency, patience, and competitive drive carried him all the way to heads-up play, putting him within reach of the championship title.
We are incredibly proud to have G representing Kontenders Poker. Performances like this showcase the level of talent and dedication within our community, and we look forward to watching his continued success in the year ahead.
Frank Johnson Finishes 5th at the Final Table
Kontenders Poker also congratulates Frank Johnson on his impressive 5th place finish in the same Main Event.
Frank previously played in our DFW region, and now plays in our online region, ClubKO PM, where players can compete in online games every night. His deep run at the Bar Poker Open is a great reminder that Kontenders players come from every part of our community — from local live regions to our friendly online club.
Reaching the final table in a field of more than a thousand players is a major accomplishment, and Frank represented Kontenders Poker extremely well throughout the event.
