Steven Wardell, 20th Place, 2018 Bar Poker Open Las Vegas Main Event
Last week, dozens of KOntenders players from across the country converged on the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas for the $200,000 Guaranteed Bar Poker Open.
The deepest run by a KOntender in the Main Event was Steven Wardell, from our South Jersey region, who finished in 20th place for a $1,427 payday.
Others who cashed in the Main Event included Wayne Dull (South Jersey) for $639, Ed Lockwood (Austin) for $550, and Richard Davila (Austin) for $500.
In the Green Chip Bounty, Robin Resnick (South Jersey) finished in 23rd for $125 (not including bounties). Karen Thompson and Sal Biancardi, both from North Carolina, also cashed in this tournament.
In Event 2, a “Cheap and Deep” NLHE event with 219 entries, Paul Resnick (South Jersey) finished 14th for $269.
Many of our players had success elsewhere during the trip, whether at three-card poker, slots, poker cash games, or other tournaments outside of the Open.
